What are our aims?
The main object of the Society is to promote an interest in the visual arts by providing facilities for those in Royal Tunbridge Wells and the neighbourhood who wish to take part in our educational activities, which include workshops, tutorials, professional criticism and exhibitions of work throughout the year.
Who belongs?
Our members range from professional, trained and self-taught artists to improvers and beginners, all of whom are friendly and helpful.
What do we do?
Members of the Society meet at 61 The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells each week for a variety of activities:
TUESDAY
September-May
10am Portrait model (drawing or painting)
2pm A variety of talks, demonstrations, video lectures, art history and members’ criticism and discussions (see programme)
WEDNESDAY
September-May
7.30pm to 9.30pm
Meetings suspended until further notice (this note added 13/4/10)
THURSDAY
Winter (Sept-March/April)
10am Workshops including opportunities for mixed media painters

10am Programme of visits throughout Kent and Sussex for painting and sketching (see outdoor painting)
