Where is the Society?
Royal Tunbridge Wells Art Society was formed in 1934 and took over the premises at 61 The Pantiles in the early 1950s.

This Society is unique in having its own rooms. These consist of a main lecture/ exhibition room and a further room housing the magazine, book and video libraries. There is also a small kitchen. The buildings on the Lower Walks of the Pantiles were refurbished in 1991, so the Society now enjoys the benefits of improved lighting, heating and storage areas.

Members pay an annual subscription of £70 and this money is used to pay for the rent, rates and the running costs of the premises. Also for engaging speakers and demonstrators.
